WHY NOW?
Rick and his non-profit MAPS helped make psychedelic therapy a bipartisan issue, removing it from the culture war, and overcoming decades of stigma that has delayed life-saving tools for millions in need. Beyond the transformative impact psychedelics are poised to have for mental health, this film offers a road map on how to change culture, against-all-odds.
PRODUCTION TIMELINE
We’ve been filming with Rick and MAPS for over 12 years (since 2014), capturing intimate and exclusive footage along their journey to legalize psychedelics - both the highs and the lows. After over a decade of dedicated filming, we are now raising funds to finish our film and bring Rick’s story to the screen. If fully funded, we estimate we can finish a rough cut by April of 2027, and then a final cut by November of 2027.
